February is American Heart Month. This particular February, the American Heart Association asked us to create a powerful campaign that inspires women to take charge of their heart health. The “Strong Women for Strong Hearts”campaign is a rallying cry that reached every corner of New York City. We also created deliverables for their Go Red for Women Luncheon event.
A series of images were illustrated by myself and 2 other designers that speak to the specific issues AHA wanted to address (talking to a doctor, checking blood pressure, exercise, mindfulness, etc).
The illustrations were then used to create 5 subway and 4 phone kiosk ads that were placed throughout the city on every subway line and in every borough. 12 social media posts were also created and handed off for posting during the month.
LUNCHEON
“Each year, tens of thousands of women come together at one of over 180 Go Red for Women luncheons in communities across the country, united by a common purpose to end heart disease and stroke in women. Luncheons are a great way to get involved with the American Heart Association in your local community and truly make an impact.” - Go Red for Women
For the 2019 Luncheon, we created event invites, donation cards, signage, a powerpoint template for the event, luminary center pieces, and pins that each woman took with them.
AWARDS
A case study video was created to showcase the campaign and the impact it had on New York City.
